Food Preparation Facilities

Abrams Creek Center offers four areas for food preparation: a three-season Commercial-style Open-Air Kitchen that can prepare meals for 200 or more, and three all-season facilities, including the Lodge House Kitchen that can prepare meals for 30ore more, the Retreat Cottage Kitchen that can prepare smaller meals, and a Snack Area where individual guests can prepare their own food without interfering with the group meal production.

Commercial-style Open-air Kitchen

A 500 sq ft commercial-style open-air kitchen that capable of preparing food for 200 people or more. The kitchen ceiling rises to 16', creating a natural updraft to draw excess heat away. Groups are welcome to use the kitchen with their own staff, or we can provide names of professional chefs who can meet the needs and preferences of any dietary plan.

This three-season kitchen has

- two commercial ranges with a total of
12 - 30,000 BTU burners and two ovens
- a full-sized convection oven

- ample refrigerator and freezer space

(a walk-in cooler is also available for rental)

- a variety of countertop appliances including toasters,
blenders, food processors, and commercial-grade mixers

- commercial stainless-steel 3-sink washing area

- a full range of pots, pans, and utensils,
including prep knives and cutting boards

- substantial dry goods storage

with more storage available just steps away

- dishes and silverware for 100 or more

- 2-sided buffet serving area

- opens directly to the sheltered dining area

Lodge House Kitchen

A country-style kitchen with plenty of counter space -
can easily prepare meals for 30 or more
